Safe Guarding Officer
David Grice has been actively involved in Sakura since his son Isaac started training 6 years ago. David is the Association Safe Guarding Officer.
Sakura Safe Guarding Experience
As a volunteer safe guarding officer, David's role is to act as an additional interface between the students and Sakura Karate Association. He has a wide range of experience in similar roles. Most notably he is currently an active parent governor at a federation of schools in Willenhall. This role sees David's direct involvement with safeguarding and child protection issues on a regular basis. In addition, safeguarding, keeping children safe in education and parent liaison have also been constants within his paid employment as a maths and English manager in a very large college for the last 10 years.
As a parent of a very active child and witness to the dangers of a sedentary lifestyle, David is passionate about ensuring that the experience children receive in sport is as positive as it can be and that this instils a lasting love of a healthy, active lifestyle.
If you have any comments, concerns, compliments or suggestions about any aspect of Sakura Karate Association, David would be very keen to hear them. Your thoughts have the potential to help shape the experiences of many children. David attends all Sakura events and external competitions. He can also be approached at the Dojo following his son Isaac's classes.
If you would like to discuss an issue in confidence, please call David on 07970984011.
